Those individuals who have the skills and willingness to head the venture are those same people who play vital roles in the success of the activity. They can be anyone within the community.

For a community of believers, building a church is necessary. This is the place where they gather, express their faith and worship God along with the other members. The construction of the place is so delicate that a church building committee has to be organized.

Individuals who comprise this group are those who have the technical skills for construction and the head pastor or minister of the church. They have specific roles to do and are proven to be efficient on that field. Specifically, here are their major roles.

Facilitates the overall construction of the establishments. The committee is headed by a chairman who supervises the entire process. He holds meetings, sets agenda, and heads important discussions related to the project. They plan and considers every aspect of the construction and creates contingencies in case a problem will occur on their main blue print.

Creation of project design. After the detailed planning, the actual putting out of idea follows. This is where the technical skills of architects and engineers come in. They provide the details of the building process and creates a blue print of the place. This is then shown to the whole group for approval. Things that have to be changed or improved will be addressed during the gathering.

Finance and budgeting. For a project to move forward, there has to be money. It is a necessary resource needed to purchase the materials that will be used for the making of the establishment. Absence of which can mean a big problem or a delayed expected output. People working for the finance department creates budget plan to see areas that has to have more funding. They are also the one in charge of analyzing certain areas of the project that needs more funding and those that can be dealt with less.

Informing the whole community. Of course, the members of the church cannot be left out. You have the right to know and the committee makes sure that you do. They release announcements on bulletins informing the people about the progress of the construction. Any updates are relayed to the public for transparency.

Getting funds. There are times when the money received from the collection during mass or gathering is not enough. In this case, the committee finds ways to raise funds by organizing some activities. It could be in a form of a bazaar, an exhibit and the like. All the amount gained in here will be used for the project.

Be of help to your community by being attentive on its current ventures. Who knows, you might have the skills that they are looking for. Ask other members and get involved. You have something to offer. Share what you have to the rest of the believers.
