Sometimes, these individuals have to deal with societal discrimination from time to time. Some communities are not yet open to these kinds of issues and thus they react violently upon it. These controversies have highlighted and emphasized lots of religious and individual opinions. When a particular person belongs in a certain kind of community and religion, they would most likely absorb all their teachings and values.
In the United States, LGBTQ weddings are already legalized. This is their way to protect the rights of these genders and to acknowledge them in our society. Although we have different characters and family upbringing, we should all unite in this one aspect. Some people really stand for what they truly believe in and they do not want these kinds of revisions to affect their religious beliefs.
Religious fanatics often discriminate these kinds of wedding because they find it morally inappropriate to marry someone who has the gender as you. Normally, we would never want to do that since we are straight. However, if you try to put yourself in the shoes of others, you definitely would realize how mind changing their beliefs are. Our brain functions differently than theirs.
As what you might have observed, we cannot ignore moral principles and beliefs. These factors will always affect our character, personalities, and behaviors. Since we all have different mentalities and attitudes towards these events, we need to respect them for that. We should respect them like how they respected our practices as well.
In other words, our personal characteristics are the ones that separate us. Our religion could not force us to go against those LGBT practices and legalization. However, it is only us who could choose for what we really want to believe in. Although religious organization teachings have a great impact in our mentality and behavior, we still have the free will to choose what is right and wrong.
These practices remind us that we all have different opinions and preferences. If they respected our principles, then we should also respect them. We are not law makers and experts. We only interpret the scriptures based on our own understanding and mentality. Therefore, we could not immediately conclude that we are right with our own understanding.
In that way, we could understand that they also have their own stands and opinions. Since we vary in terms of stands and opinions, let us always respect each and everyone in this society. In that way, we can follow our moral standards by respecting all humans and by treating LGBTQ individuals justly and fairly. This is how we acknowledge the scriptures.
We could still be wrong in all aspects. If we discriminate these kinds of weddings and treat them unfairly because of our religious values, then we are the ones being irresponsible for our actions. We must always respect the preferences and culture of other people. Instead of treating them differently, we must acknowledge their value in this society and allow them to live their lives to the fullest.
