The Marine Corps League gained congressional approval under Title 36 of the United States Code in 1937 under the stewardship of Commandant Lejeune John. There is a physical fitness program that targets elementary and high school students. The Boy Scouts of America is part of their programs. There is a toys for tots and a scholarship program that provides academic support.
