It should always be in your mind the need to regulate your behavior while you are dining together. The best way to do it is by observing all the dining rules and etiquette guide provided.

One of the most embarrassing habits most people have is to talk with their food in the mouth. This habit makes people have a bad impression of you and therefore you should avoid it. In fact, talking while at the same time you are eating is lack of table manners. Always ensure when you are talking you do not have food in your mouth.

Learn the basic communication skills on such occasions and avoid shouting. Find other ways of expressing yourself without having to shout. If you are being hosted by a friend, and you happen not to like what is being served, it is more polite to keep it to yourself rather than tell your host how much you hate what you are being served. Eat small bits at a time and avoid completely filling your mouth with food even when it is your favorite dish.

Another habit that you should avoid under all cost is, eating food that accidentally falls on the table. It is always tempting to collect the food most importantly if it is your favorite meal. Feasting with your friends, calls for high level of discipline and good manners. In case your food accidentally falls to the table, it is always a good idea to pick it and put it in another dish but you should never feed on it.

Some people do some things without knowing that they are doing them in the wrong way. For instance, it would be wrong for you to stretch your hands and pick salt dish on the table. Instead, you should ask someone closer to it for help.. However, waking up to pick the salt from a certain corner would be unacceptable.

Another behavior to avoid is picking up calls or using your cell phone while on the dinner table. This is very rude to the host and the rest of the people on the dinner table. This is distracting to others and also unhygienic where you are eating with your bare hands. As a preparation to dine with others, put your phone in silent mode or even switch it off.

Yet, another very absurd idea many people have, is blowing their nose while still on the dining table. This maybe is the worst lack of table manners you can ever have. When you want to sneeze, walk comfortably to a room and do it there. Otherwise, you would be surprised to find your friends leaving the food right there on the desk.

In conclusion, ensure that you finish your food. Leaving some food on the table maybe a waste of food, and it may not seem good or pleasant to them. It would be wrong to waste too much food when you only need a little. Let the servers know the quantity of food that you would eat comfortably without wastage.
