Throughout his lifetime on earth before returning to the skies Christ lived a life of unselfishness which only many can desire. Feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and teaching and reuniting people with their creator are among few of the activities he participated in. His job in the world was very selfless and was seen in every action he undertook. His life was agonizingly cut short so that others would enjoy redemption.
When Christ unselfishly sacrificed his life he substituted his work to his disciples so that the gospel would not die with his demise. As an example of his life his followers were taught the appropriate ways of life and how to improve their relationship with their almighty creator. He taught them how to pray, how to perform miracles like healing the sick and the way to attain eternal life.
With the few listed Christ projected that his followers would also lead by example like a candle showing the way to those who cannot see due to darkness. As he departed Christ instructed his students to propagate the word to all regions of universe and blessings are rewarded.
As Christians they are always on a mission of representing the body of Christ to each and every place so as to propagate the good news. How do they do this is a question with a lot of answers. This is achieved through the love that was preached by Christ during the days he was in the world.
An individual is supposed to love their neighbor and to preach of abundant event that Christ gave himself out so that they could get saved. Distribution of the little that one may have is an expression of the love. This involves sharing the foodstuff, accommodation, clothing and other commodities with those who are not blessed with the resources. A lot of churches take part in doing this.
The disabled, orphaned and the widowed are an example of people who are usually neglected by the society due to their unfortunate events. The church usually takes them in and cares for them as they were family. This is a character that was well observed from Christ who helped many people who were despised by the society. Apart from the helping missions may include spreading the gospel of Christ to places it has never reached. This is done by giving free bibles and having evangelistic conferences.
Following in the footsteps of Christ is not an easy task although faith in God and the assurance of everlasting life is the fire that keeps disciples going. Many religious institutions are normally dishonest in their intentions and all they aim is to exploit money from the congregation. It is important to evaluate a church by their actions to differentiate the evil ones. The church in San Antonio is a place one should attend to attain the religious enrichment.
