Statistics have shown that most parents tend to prefer these schools to public ones as a result of their strictness and the fact that they focus more on impacting christian morals in their students. This is an experience that one gets by attending these institutions as christianism is not just in the curriculum but they way of life too.
Religious schools offer Christian education classes so that they can make their students more aware and knowledgeable about Christianity. Many parents who take their children to these schools are satisfied and assured that they have given their child the best reason being that the child gains a lot of positive things.
Another advantage is that these schools perform very well in academics compared to many public schools which is another reason why a parent might consider taking his/her child to a religious school. Performance record of the school is another important factor because no one would like to take his/her child in a school that is not performing well as it would be a waste of money and time. Extra curricula activities should also be considered as some kids may not be too good in academics but good in extra curricula activities. It these activities are good for the students to unwind after classes.
However, there are some critics who say that parents who take their children to religious schools force them into something they do not want. They say that the kind of strictness in these schools deprives kids from enjoying themselves and once they are done with the education they will turn to be undesirable people in the society. The critics also say that these schools are costly in maintaining them and also the fee being paid is high.
Some critics are of the opinion that these schools need to be done away with in order to be fair to each and every child. This is why before any parent decides to take their children to a religious school he/she should explain to the child what to expect and why they are a bit different from other schools. This is important so that the parent can get to know the reaction of his/her child.
Some factors should also be taken into consideration. Such as the location of the school; nobody would like to take his/her child in a school whose surrounding is questionable. Another factor should be the performance of the school, a school with a good performance record is to be desired by many. Affordability is critical in a way that the fee is within the range of these parents.
Indeed education is an important factor in our lives sought after by many people worldwide therefore making important and wise decision on the type of school a child goes to is essential as it will influence him/her negatively or positively in the future.
