The cave man is the origin of most of modern languages. The languages started off as a simple way through which messages could be passed over from one person to another. In the process, cave writings were used. The paintings on the walls were used for the transmission of special messages from one group of people to another. The paintings and writings were done in such a way that only the intended persons could understand them.
The smoke signals and a couple of sign languages took over the communication channels. Soon afterwards, the encoding of messages could be done on special papers. Some manuscripts were also used for the encoding of messages. The encoding of very secretive messages was usually done on reeds which were then locked into special safes. On being received, the safes could be unlocked and the message decoded. Through the use of encoding and decoding processes, the messages were rarely tapped.
The modern telecommunication industry has been built on the encoding and decoding procedures. Mobile devices with simple applications replaced the encoded reeds. The simple mobile phones had very simple applications. These were commonly used for the making of phone calls and sending of messages. These had special applications that had special encoding and decoding programs.
The simple mobile devices laid the foundation for an evolution within the telecommunication industry. Soon, better devices with the ability to accommodate more applications were rolled out. Modern mobile devices are more complex than their predecessors. They have wrapped various applications into one tool. With such devices, one can access the internet at a very high speed, make a video call and play a couple of online games.
The convergence era in the communication industry entered once the devices attained special abilities. The applications installed could be used to manage various aspects of the personal lives. High speed processing speeds means that users now had the world at their finger tips. Through the use of such devices, the users were able to gain access to various online forums. Making of new friends through online social networks became a reality too.
Communication is the easiest process through which people can keep in touch. As the information is being sent out from one source to another, new communication links are formed by the communicating parties. The interactions form the basis on which people can easily make and maintain friends.
Over the years, the East African social links have grown as the people have embraced the various changes. The use of technology in communication has brought a new era in socializing. The uses of such devices and the interconnections have broken the traditional geographical boundaries. The changes and the use of technology have put the people of different regions on the global map.
