Home House in Portman Square - For an outstanding central London location that will be the envy of your friends for years to come, you must have a look at this Georgian masterpiece. Despite being known as the best private members' club, not only in Europe but also Internationally, you don't actually have to be a member to host your wedding here. Behind unassuming doors, Home House comprises of three different, but equally luxurious, grand 18th century 'homes'. There are plenty of dreamy backdrops for an array of stunning photographs, a designated area for you to say your vows and a magnificent drawing room for your lavish wedding breakfast. With twenty en-suite classically furnished rooms, there is also plenty of space for your main guests to reside.
The Century Club, Shaftesbury Avenue is another private members' club that you may not recognise as a typical wedding venue is The Century Club in Shaftesbury Avenue. The luxurious establishment is pure perfection in terms of capturing a newlywed's special day. With the backdrop of central London's skyline, accompanied by the beautiful lantern-lit rooftop terrace, The Century Club provides a magical wedding day experience for all to enjoy and remember. Unfortunately you cannot stay the night, but Dean Street Townhouse is very close by and can accommodate a large number of wedding guests.
Aside from private members' clubs, we do have two other gems up our sleeves.
Chelsea Physic Garden's original purpose was for training botanists and it is now said to house over 5,000 species of plants as a result of this. You can hire the garden, lawn and additional events' rooms for the perfect summer wedding. Once again, as you can imagine; the stunning, natural backdrop of the gardens provides for some memorable photographs. I can't think of anywhere more serene to tie the knot, especially in the heart of such a busy city.
Fourth and final (for this list anyway), have you heard of Morrell House in Shoreditch? The statuesque building was constructed in the 1800's, on the same site as an old medieval well. For something completely original, you can create your very own wedding cocktail recipe for the staff to replicate on your special day and serve to your guests in ornate teacups. These 'Cock-Teas' can act as wedding favours to be served after your ceremony for a touch of individuality and novelty.
